DOUG LYNCH has nearly three decades of experience in the global clinical nutrition and wellness industry. Doug has held executive positions in worldwide technical and consumer product sales, product development, business development and marketing (digital and traditional). Doug has a diverse product background in dietary supplements, medical foods, functional foods, cosmetics, animal nutrition, proprietary actives, natural colors, and natural flavors.
Doug founded MarketWell Nutrition, where he has offered strategic and operational analysis, sales, positioning, branding, and marketing for nutritional and cosmetic products. He has done M&A strategic fit analysis for multinational companies in the health and wellness space. In addition, Doug developed a platform for direct-to-consumer digital marketing, in order to facilitate immediate and subscription-based product sales, while crafting omni-channel marketing strategies and positioning.
He has worked with Wake Forest Medical Center and University of South Florida’s Morsani School of Medicine, monetizing and commercializing their IP, and working as their marketing mentor to the iCorps Program of the National Science Foundation. Other clients of Doug include multinational biotechnology, food, supplement, medical food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics companies.
Doug has also developed hundreds of products for General Nutrition, MLM companies, mass market brands, and animal nutrition. He has served as a media trained company spokesperson, and is a frequent speaker for the natural products industry involving intellectual property. He has partnered with companies such as Ginkgo Bioworks in Boston, to assist in strategy and consumer acceptance of biosynthetic-derived foods in the marketplace.
Doug also developed the first dietary supplements for Sam’s Club and Walmart eCommerce, and the first dietary supplements for Estee Lauder Companies. In addition, Doug licensed a molecule to Estee Lauder Companies to create a new skin care category, which has earned over a billion dollars since launch. Doug has a Master of Science in Management degree from Troy University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Tom McNulty is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Atlantia. In this capacity, Tom will lead al financial operations (general accounting, billing, vendor management, payroll, taxation, etc.).
Tom also is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Tom has 30 years of experience in the accounting and finance fields. Prior to joining Atlantia, Tom was Principal Owner of Thomas McNulty, CPA, LLC., headquartered in Princeton, NJ. The firm’s clientele is comprised of both public and private entities.
Amongst the professional business services offered include: extensive tax and accounting issues, business consulting and planning, start-up Business planning and set-up, payroll, auditing, bank financing and business valuation.
In previous positions, Tom served CFO for business entities across various industries to include Energy, Industry, and the Pharmaceuticals. Tom’s expertise extends to strategic business planning and consulting for large domestic and international enterprises. As head of financial operations, Tom was responsible for: development and execution of financial business strategy, design and implementation of internal controls, payroll, preparation of forecasts and projections, management of company financial needs and capital assets.
Tom holds an MBA in Accounting and Taxation from Philadelphia University, Philadelphia PA. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in FL and NJ.
The team will be complimented by a limited number of fractional experts and consultants as needed, including personnel from FAU with knowledge of the library. It is the intention to hire such consultants using the initial investment from FAU, and add to permanent staff with added investment.
